Your mission

Please note that this is an unpaid internship opportunity as part of your studies.

We are looking for interns based in UA.
OR
interns with valid enrollment based in Germany.

We are looking for motivated Ukrainian and/or Russian speaking interns who are interested in supporting krisenchat Ukrainian in our journey with a minimum of 15 hours per week for at least 8 weeks. Since we are a platform for psychological counseling, this position is highly applicable for psychology students.

Chat counseling
Supporting the counselors with content-related questions
Supporting the psychological management in conceptual work regarding trauma, PTBS,the topic of refugees and more
Participation in internal meetings and supervisions
Translations
Administrative tasks
Development of a task (tool) that can be used in the chat consultation
Holding a workshop accompanying the developed excercise

Your profile

Confidence in speaking and writing in Ukrainian and/or Russian
Enrollment or Degree in psychology
interns based in UA OR interns with valid enrollment based in Germany.
Clinical knowledge of problems and psychological disorders
Interest in supporting people affected by the ongoing war with a high sensitivity for this topic
Feeling for sensitive communication and knowledge of resonance
Ability for self-reflection
Flexibility, fun and curiosity in testing digital support services
Ability to work in a team and independently, digitally
Important: Please check beforehand whether the internship can be recognized by your university or college. For administrative reasons, we focus on applications from within Germany.

krisenchat is a nationwide, free support service for children and young adults in need. We offer children and young people professional psychosocial counseling - every day, 24 hours a day, via web application or WhatsApp. krisenchat has been available 24/7 since May 2020 - since then, our many crisis counselors have been able to help in over 200,000 crisis situations. Since March 1, 2022, krisenchat has also been offering confidential crisis counseling for Ukrainians of all ages, providing support to those particularly affected by the war. In addition to chat counseling, krisenchat now reaches millions of young people every year through psychoeducational content on various social media platforms.

We are an interdisciplinary and agile non-profit organization and work flexibly in our beautiful office in Berlin or remotely.
